Tory Lanez was among the high profile guests on A Boogie’s sophomore release on the fifth track entitled “Best Friend.” The song lays claim to a slightly deceiving title, because you enter the discourse thinking Tory and A Boogie are bonding over a game of snakes and ladders or something of the like. In reality A Boogie is offering yet another discourse on vague relationships in 2018. The non-personal subject of their mutually exclusive admiration is a buddy turned lover, but not so fast exclaims A Boogie: “it’s a bad thing” even when it feels so good.
The “Best Friend” drags Tory and A Boogie into a lair filled with pinball machines and striking beauties, all of whom I’ll assume are on the cusp of fleeing the friendzone one way or another. The archaic buddy system be might suitable to a few entrants, but the women Tory and A Boogie have dined and dated have been irresolutely misled.
