Machin Gun Kelly is celebrating his 28th birthday early by releasing a visual treatment to his track “27.” The video comes on the eve of his birthday and documents some of the intimate moments on tour, and in a recording session. “Kind of gnarly that the video came out today…my last day being 27 years old. hope y’all dig it,” he captioned a tweet.
The single comes off his latest album bloom. Kelly has just wrapped up filming the Motely Crue biopic, The Dirt, where he stars as Tommy Lee. He’s adding another role to his resume as he’s set to act in Sandra Bullock’s upcoming film, Bird Box. Check out the Ryan Hardy directed video and let us know what you think.
“I wasn’t born with a voice like Lauryn Hill, I wasn’t born with the guitar fingers of Jimi Hendrix, I wasn’t born with the songwriting of Eminem, I wasn’t born with any of those things, these are things I manifested and made happen for myself,” MGk previously told Daily Mail talking about his success and work ethic. “I stayed up and read books til the f***ing morning, I watched people, I idolise people, I do things that people forget how to do because I worked.”
