Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery end Bayern careers with more silverware

Bayern Munich completed a domestic double by beating RB Leipzig 3-0 in the German Cup final with Robert Lewandowski bagging twice.

Fresh from lifting a seventh straight Bundesliga title and pipping Borussia Dortmund, Bayern survived an early Leipzig onslaught and Lewandowski settled the nerves with a clever headed finish (29).

Lewandowski, the competition’s highest scorer this season with seven, also took his individual tally in German Cup finals to seven as Bayern won it for the 19th time in their history.

Valencia captain Dani Parejo lifts the Copa del Rey after his side’s 2-1 win over Barca

Valencia beat Barcelona 2-1 to win the Copa del Rey on Saturday, ending the Spanish champions’ four-year winning streak in the competition and denying them a domestic double.

Record 30-times Cup winners Barcelona struggled without injured forwards Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele, but Lionel Messi pulled the Catalans back into the game with a close-range finish.

Valencia finished fourth in La Liga after a strong second half of the season, reaching the Europa League semi-finals and ending an impressive campaign with this victory.
