2018 Annual American Music Awards | Nominations

The American Music Awards have come around yet again and Tracee Ellis Ross will lead the hosting duties for the “world’s largest fan-voted awards show.” The two artists leading the nominations this year are Cardi B and Drake who both have eight nominations, while Ed Sheeran and Post Malone are right behind with six nods and Camila Cabello with five nods.

For the honorary award of Artist of the Year award, the nominees are Drake, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift all fighting for the win. The show airs Tuesday, October 9th from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Performances will come from some of the best and most successful acts of the year. Keep it locked on the site for an official announcement of who will take the stage and check out the full list of nominations below.

The American Music Awards (AMAs) is an annual American music awards show, created by Dick Clark in 1973 for ABC when the network’s contract to air the Grammy Awards expired.[1] Unlike the Grammys, which are awarded on the basis of votes by members of the Recording Academy, the AMAs are determined by a poll of the public and fans, who can vote through the AMAs website.[2] The award statuette is manufactured by New York firm Society Awards.
